Get to know Jonathan...

Tell us how and when you got into climbing?
I was introduced to climbing very young through my Dad, but it was not until I started college that I started pursuing climbing on my own. Originally I did it as cross training for downhill mountain biking but I loved climbing so much that I totally switched gears and dove in head first.

What do you think was the highlight of your climbing career (so far)?
Longevity… Passion and drive has kept me on the road and stoked for many years. My enthusiasm to be my personal best and always be discovering new challenges has not slowed down a bit!

What are you doing when you are not climbing?
Listening to music, spending a lot of time with my dog Zeke, exploring the mountains and the cities alike.

What is the soundtrack of your life (favorite song)?
Oophh too hard, new favorite song every few weeks!

Do you have any peculiar eating habits?
I smoother everything except dessert in hot sauce.

What stokes you the most?
New areas. Either just simply new to me, or brand new and undeveloped.

If you could choose a super power, what would it be?
Control the weather!

What was your favorite climbing adventure?
One of my first: climbing the La Esfinge in Peru with my Dad back in 2004.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a pro climber?
Driving a race car.
